The Apple iPhone users have now started complaining against other issue- hefty roaming bills despite turning off data roaming while abroad.
Experts are also warning the iPhone users that a glitch in the phone’s software could make them face hefty roaming bills despite following all the necessary steps to avoid the data charges.
The glitch in software has reportedly affected iPhones on all networks; however, most of the reported cases have come from O2 customers.
Mobile phone operator O2 has acknowledged the concerned problem, and assured that they took the matter to Apple. O2 has reportedly been giving out refunds to customers who have fallen victim to unfair hefty roaming bills.
Speaking on the issue, Martin Lewis, founder of MoneySavingExpert. com said, “In some cases, we're hearing the networks are paying out without too much argument, which could indicate this is a known problem. Let's hope it does not get brushed under the carpet.”
