The BlackBerry Torch successor, the Torch 2 is alike in design, supporting the less-than-traditional-BlackBerry slider form. Internally, although, the BlackBerry Torch 2 is swifter as it works on 1.2GHz processor compared to the first Torch’s 600MHz processor, and operated by the BB OS 6.1.
Other aspects of the Torch 2 has a 3.2 inch VGA 640 x 480 capacitive display, 8GB of internal storage, 512MB of RAM, Bluetooth 2.1, NFC technology support and a 5-megapixel camera with flash.
The original Torch stood out from the BlackBerry crowd for featuring a touch-sensitive display and slide-out QWERTY. The phone was also the first from RIM to run the new BB OS 6, with customizable home screens, social networking integration and better multi-tasking skill.
Two more BlackBerry handsets have also been leaked recently. First, there is the Bold Touch device, also known as Montana. Supporting a traditional BlackBerry look of screen and QWERTY keyboard, the Bold Touch has a 2.8 inch screen and has some aspects with the Torch 2. Predicted to get release till this summer, the phone has BB OS 6.1 operating has the same 1.2GHz processor as the Torch 2 and Bold Touch, 3.7 inch display and 5-megapixel snapper.
